    Hi I have an idea for local nightlife/club/entertainment directory or portal for metro phoenix. I just acquired phoenixtonite and is looking to acquire phoenixtonight.com, I have already amde an offer on this domain. I guess my question is how many people spell tonight as tonite?

    I agree with Stoofovski. As bad a spellers as we can be, do not think many will misspell tonight. I am not into misspellings, if you want the misspelled version suggest you buy both and point misspelled one to the other.

    Definitely go for 'tonight' if you can. Using the wrong spelling in a domain name comes across as desperate (because you couldn't secure the domain name with the right spelling) and unprofessional. Good luck.

    I say get both. Do a redirect from 'nite' into 'tonight' incase mispelling occour. But develop the 'tonight' one because of the reasons provided in the previous posts that I dont want to repeat. Cheers

    May I suggest pheonix-tonight.com ? I think, Yahoo favors a domain name like that, with a dash.

    BTW, I think most people will go for "tonight" instead of "tonite"
