Phlp directory set up help

I am brand new and have never set up a directory.

I am trying to set permissions on a few files but I can not figure out how to do it.

I am using Godady - Linux as a host and there is no option to change permissions.

    Can anyone help me?

    Thanks

You can use your FTP program to CHMOD them.
I am unsure how the goDaddy panel is setup for you to chmod from within the panel. Also, goDaddy as a host can be so/so with phpLD.

I think if you read the readme file very well and if you use FILEZILLA FTP

program there would be no problem I think so

Permissions are needed to be changed for only 4 folders

if you are using a ftp client then right click and properties will show you the way to change permision,
if goDaddy provides cpanel, then there is a builtin file manager it in, click on a folder and you will see the options in right corner from which select change permisions option...

you need to do this for following i think

/include/config.php (should be changed back after installation)
    /temp/
/temp/ ---- all folders in temp

GoDaddy has a lot of php functions blocked in there hosting, and it has been problematic for a lot of other php applications too. If you are able to provide more info about how you solved the problem, please let me know.

Dvduval all I did was use filezilla to change permissions because you can't change them in Godaddy.

Everything worked fine once I used filezilla.
