Does Adsense allow pages that target, for example, Viagra?

 

As long as you are not promoting an Online Pharmacy, you should be ok...

 

What do you mean by "target"? If your site could be construed to "promote" Viagra, it's against the Adsense ToS.

Is viagra a prescription drug? I didn't know that!

I have sites about nutritional supplements, weight loss pills, etc... and I have links to aff programs selling them right on my site.... iv never had a problem? But I guess it's okay as it's not "prescription" ...

 

It may vary from country to country, but here in the US Viagra is definitely prescription. So are many weight-loss drugs. I don't know if Adsense makes a distinction based on what country you and/or your visitors are in.

 

I don't understand if you are selling viagra why you want to use adsense. Should not you focus on selling your product instead of sending your visitors to others? I am Confused

 

By Target, I mean, it's a shared content target. You're really focusinig on a demographic and its needs and Viagra happens to be one segment of this demographic...

why would you put adsense ads on pharmacy/herbal supplement related site? affiliate commission is way more than adsense clicks. i have pharmacy related site and i would never put adsense in there

regarding viagra being a prescription drug, i'm not sure about other country but here in canada, yes it is a prescription drug. at least thats what i heard last time. one of my colleague bought some for recreational use and he had to get a prescription from his family physician. then again, canada has more strict drug law than U.S. in south, Aleve (naproxen sodium) is sold over the counter. here is canada, it is a prescription medication. simple pain killer, imagine that

I have MANY sites around herbal supplements and weight loss. Why wouldn't I use adsense on them? They aren't (or at least shouldn't be) prescription drugs.. most you can buy online or in the drug store.

About affiliate commissions, yes they are better than adsense... but I have sites dedicated to affiliate sales, and sites that run adsense, some people are willing to buy, others are just browsing You need to cater to both!

 

You shouldn't being doing it anyways unless you have knowledge in that area or else you just add to the cess pool of disinformation the internet is becoming.

I remember all the health sites I visited once one after another looking for symptoms of something and each one was just bullshit with adsense goddamn.
I'm so sick of sites like this, Example: http://www.echemotherapy.com] made by some guy on www.jimkarter.com and he not a doctor!
I can smell this bs sites from mile away , unforuntaly most people looking for info on the net go to these sites one after another helplessly looking for good information, so do everyone a favor and don't make sites about information you do not know.

For me I bought this bonafied health book written by the American Medical Association 2,000 pages. I will not look up health info on the net becuase I know its a cess pool thanks to adsense+greed.
