I was checking my back links and saw this linking back to one of my newer sites (that has coop ads pointing to it) and sure enough coop ads on the bottom. I thought all pharm sites where not allowed?

They're not allowed to place ads, they can be used to send weight though.

Im beginning to have my own doubts about coop:

We all know that google especially frowns on links that appear on other sites lacking any kind of relevancy right? For example I checked my backlinks for a pet site I have, and there are ring tone links that my link has at one time or another appeared on... hmmm, this leads me to believe that the majority of sites that my links appear on are lacking much relevancy, which leads me to further question the copp.

eewwww So my ad can be seen on a pharm site. Hmmmm... I guess I'll be rethinking whether I really need to use the co op. I was under the impression that they were totally not allowed.

No damage can be done to your site as you don't actually link to any of those sites. Google doesn't penalise sites for having links pointed to them.
Though I guess it all comes down to your own feelings on it. If you're not comfortable then remove the ads :)

Yea... it has more to do with my own feelings and drug use...even though it seems to be legit these types of sites make it much easier to abuse...

Don't be stupid. Even if you didn't use the coop any pharm site could link to you if they want to.

I'm not being stupid. Its an ethical issue. I'd rather not knowingly allow my site to be advertised (which is what the coop is, isn't it?) on a pharm site.

I couldn't give a damn if a site that I have nothing to do with links to me, but I choose to use the co-op and that's different.

Wow Thanks for the speedy response Shawn.

So I'm now a bit confused about the Guidelines. It states no Pharm ads allowed but are Pharm sites allowed to carry ads on their sites?

By your actions here it implies they are not allowed in any way.
