Hi, I run www.workingmansband.com and it's been up for a good few months now - it gets a reasonable nubmer of hits. I have submitted a Google Sitemap a week or two ago and eventually, sitemap or not, Google listed most of my site's pages. However most of those pages have no dissapeared, yet Google still says they are there. Confusing, I know - so here's a screenshot showing what I mean:
These pages will be removed, or moved to Supplemental results when Google updates its index. You can expect it to change in 2 or 3 months maybe.
The same thing has happened to me I'm showing 1-3 of 14 and each and everyone of those pages is 100% original with unique titles, meta tags and has nothing but genuine content on it - I highly doubt they will be going supplemental. Also what is interesting is these "phantom pages" are actually still in the SERPs they just aren't showing in the site: function and they are not in omitted results either... crazy "phantom pages". I think it has more to do with the recent data center roll back of PR. Google are obviously playing around with some things at the moment, so I just suggest sitting tight and waiting a couple of weeks. Keep making good content and building links and you shouldn't have a problem.
