I am new to this forum and I go by the name Petrarch. I joined this forum in order to share my views and read the views of others. My motto is the Enlightenment-era phrase "sapere aude", which means "dare to know". I am an atheist humanist. I am interested in modern issues and politics, as well as history. Concerning history, I am particularly interested in politics and economics, especially the rise and fall of empires. I am also interested in philosophy and I have read the works of many famous philosophers, including Locke, Nietzsche, Rousseau, and Machiavelli.
As introductions go I'll give you an 8 out of 10. A perfect intro (10 out of 10) is one that is not only informative and interesting, but has a touch of humor in it as well......Welcome to DP.
What does Petrarch mean please? And it seems like you have a bunch of interests, but are you interested in internet/web, I mean DP is famous as a webmaster forum.
Francesco Petrarch was a 14th century Italian scholar and humanist. And yes, I am interested in the internet, mainly as a means of sharing information.
