Peter Jennings Dead at 67

    Such a sad day. The guy announced around four months ago he was diagnosed with lung cancer and just the other day he made a post on his website thanking visitors for their well wishes.

    CNN has a good write up about his life.

    He admitted being a smoker until about 20 years ago, and said he "was weak and I smoked over 9/11."

    Condolenece to the family of this veteran news anchor. :(

    He stopped smoking 20 years ago and still got lung cancer? What's the incentive to quit then??

    Well, he must have been smoking quite a bit, or it was genetic somewhat. I guess it's hard to say.

    Just don't start and you should be fine (provided second hand smoke doesn't get ya).
