    Website URL: http://onlinepetsmart.com
    Current revenue: n/a
    Tracffic: n/a
    age: 10m
    Over 2600 products

I created the website, advertised it a little and then the school started. So I did not have much time to run it. At the month I was advertising it I made 56 sales. Don't remember the profit. The site uses a dropshipper so you don't have to invest money buying inventory. I will of course provide the info.
The dropshipper prices are very compatible so the mark up can be up to 45%

    What is a dropshipper?
The idea behind drop shipping is quite simple. You accept orders and payment from customers for goods that you advertise on your Web site. However you don't hold any stock of these goods. Instead you place an order with a manufacturer (or wholesaler) who delivers the goods direct to your customer's address. The paperwork accompanying the delivery will make it appear that the goods were delivered directly from your business. Your customer pays the retail priced fixed by you, while you pay the wholesale price from the supplier, thereby making a profit.

So in a nutshell, how does it work?

Step 1: Customer browses your catalog of available products
Step 2: Customer places an order
Step 3: The payment is directly deposited into your merchant account
Step 4: You proceed to the dropship website and order the product/products with your customers details
Step 5: The product is sent to your customer, and you keep the difference in price

What does it cost to set up an account with the dropshipper?

It costs nothing. Dropshippers profit from the orders resellers place.

The following modules can be added to the site at no additional charge. All components are configurable and easily removable
    - Forum
    - Gogole Ads
    - Glossary

The price (starting bid) is $250 and the BIN is $900. The domain will be transferred free.
Please PM me if you have any questions

How were you advertising to make profit?
What were the revenues in that month vs. what you spent on advertising?
Willing to sell just the domain?

PR0, no links in with G or Y, majority of pages (5) are in supplementals... we'll need more info before it is worth buying.

ps. I think if you make the name "Online Pet's Mart" I don't think PetSmart would have much of a case since they key on the word Smart, right?

I have asked a friend who is an attorney and he said not to worry. Also the site has been online for a while and never received a complaint.

I was advertising with Google and Kanoodle. I don't have the "right" numbers. I think the profit was around $400

I am interested but a little concerned about your statement - 'Don't remember the profit'

This seems a little strange as its quite fundemental. Can you elaborate over the profits?

    Regards
    John

I'm sorry John but I really cant not recall how much I made. I know that with little advertising you can make very good profit. The prices are very competitive. Over 2600 products

Might be interested if you can provide the details of the net profit (with proof).
I understand that you dont remember it but you can just go through your merchant account history and calculate it.
    Looking forward to it :)

I doubt the "attorney" who gave you advice has experience in intellectual property rights or trademark law? This domain certainly has trademark infringement issues. Even similar sounding names, foreign or misspellings can be infringement. This is an exact match.

There are a several Federally Registered trademarks on "petsmart" that deal with pet supplies. Any attempt to incorporate the name "petsmart" in the domain name is clearly infringement - it doesn't matter if you add words to the domain name. Whether or not the trademark owner will come after the domain is not known, but the law actually requires them to protect their name if they don't want to risk losing their trademark. I don't suppose this attorney would put his opinion in writting - or if you have bothered to get written permission to use the name?

Updating the products is very easy. The dropshipper has a CSV file which I siply upload to the site. The whole process takes 3 minutes.
You can also add/edit/delete procust, categories manually.

No, but you made a statement that my many years of trademark experience tells me wasn't true.

"I have asked a friend who is an attorney and he said not to worry"

Your failure to address it speaks volumes on what you are attemting to do. I stand by my statement that no trademark attorney would make such a statement as this is clearly a domain name that is infringement. The fact that you claim no one has contacted you has no legal standing whatsoever. Given the age and page rank of the site, it's likely that the legal owner of the name isn't aware of it.

bang he got ya ... always check for trademark issues before buying a domain, bro - had it been "happypetsonline.com" or whatever else, I'd have bought it.
