Pet Peeve About Affliate Tool Pages from Sellers

I make a few hundred dollars every month from selling clickbank products and have been slowly increasing the amount of sells I make each month. I have a variety of websites featuring many different niches.

I really appreciate those Clickbank sellers that have a useful affiliate tool page - one with keywords and banners and articles, etc. But I have a pet peeve for some of those sellers...

Usually you can find an affiliate link on the product page or at the clickbank marketplace search area - that is a great place to find this information.

But to often, after you click the affiliate link, you the have to sign-up with an email address to access the actual and useful affiliate tool page. This means keeping track of another URL and I don't have time or desire to do this, at least, not for every Clickbank product. Way too often, I do give you my email address and then forget to bookmark the real tool area link. And then when I come back to you I have to do the process all over again (usually with a different email address.)

Very often I get frustrated by this and I move on to a more user friendly seller with a similar product, even if the gravity is less and the commission is less. My time is precious.

Please Sellers: It is okay to ask for my email address - I don't mind getting updated about new tools. But on that same page, place a direct link to your real affiliate tool area. Don't make me jump through a hoop to get there. I am willing to make you money (and for me, too), but I do more work for those sellers that make it easy for me to access the support they offer.

Thanks for writing this post. It's good to highlight this and a good reminder for myself.

I agree with you 100%. I don't include a signup on my product's affiliate page because of this, I think it's annoying to affiliates (and as an affiliate myself I know it to be.)

I fully agree with this as well.

One of the only reasons pubs do this is to track your participation and spam you downstream when new products arise - or to rehash to other IM lists... In all my aff days I've never opted into these (ok a few), this is one of the main reasons why.

    +rep, publishers take note.
