I propose to start a few blogs in pets niche. Can anyone give some feed back regarding the return and the nature of content I need to include? How many pages of content in each blog? and whether breed wise or long tail keyword wise would be better ? Those who are already in this niche can throw some light. Whether you could market CB or Amazon products through these site well? Or is it saturated ?

    1. Start with one blog and then expand.
    2. Sign up with AWeber and collect emails.
    3. Ask your visitors to sign up for a short course (7-day) and then send them a series of emails (once a day) and sell your e-books with that.
    4. Add original contents regularly(at least two articles per week) and continue it for at least 3 months.
    5. Use a software tool like micro niche finder or any other to find keywords that you should target for SEO.
    6. Use your keywords in your title and in the first paragraph.
    7. Use article directories, Squidoo, hubpages, and eHow. to publish more contents. Create one way links (using keyword anchor texts) to your site from these sites.
    8. Sign up (using keywords pertaining to your site) and create profiles in at least 25 social media sites.
    9. Create a facebook fan page.

    Hope this helps

If you write articles about per related subjects people will come to read them if there good. I imagine the pet niche might pay ok seeing how many people have cats and dogs. There has to be many compaines trying to target that market.

If you're going to promote actual products I'd either go with Amazon or Commission Junction. You'll find plenty of pet related stuff you can pitch on those two sites. Onera does have some good points there that you should also consider. Collecting email addresses is invaluable and you can market to those people over and over again. If you can find a niche within the pet niche, I think you could do very well.

Email marketing is one area that i have not tried yet. I have always considered this as an encrochment to the privacy of the individuals as we get hundreds of spams a day in our inbox. Thanks for the tip.

Are you speaking from the experience of your signature? It is a bit general and not very much targeted. Or doyou think there is enough competition?!!

Pet Niche is a great niche.. There is always room... Tons of people do it as a hobby thus linking to you easily... Find a keyword rich older domain and you are in the $$$$...... I am going to start working on the gardening niche next...
