Pet Directory up and RUNNING! I need help real quick.

    I have a Pet Directory on my dog food website. I am looking for categories. What do you guys recommend, I have never had a directory before.

    I want to mainly focus on Dog Websites but also encompass all pets.

    As soon as I get all the categories done I will start taking links.

    You need to have a good understanding of your niche. If not, you need to start researching it.

    Look at other directories, dmoz etc. Search Google, wikipedia and similar sites for lists of dog related topics. That's what I did on my fruitydirectory.com and what I'm doing on a new project ;)

    I agree with the others. Since you have starting then you should get ideas from other directories. Here is some pet directories and some dog directories. I recommend that you create an original directory structure.

    I have a great understanding of my niche. But I believe its always good to get "ideas" from other people. You get some different view points.

    Anyways the Directory is up and running: If you have Animal Websites you can Submit them now.
