I was wondering whether creating a personal site and linking to all your sites is good for seo. I just created a site at Tyler Horvath and would like to know if this would be a good route to get good SEO to my sites.
It depends on the intent. Are you providing the links to the other sites you own as a resource for your visitors (such as a personal portfolio), or to manipulate the search engines with the hope of improving your rankings? If it's the former, you should be fine. The latter, on the ohter hand, is like playing with fire after you've doused your entire body with pure kerosene.
Well, actually your personal blog also boost the ranking of your other websites. Links from your personal blog would still be helpful as long as the content are related to where the link is pointing to. And if you're a prominent person, it can also be a huge referrer to your other website/ blogs.
good. I made another page called Los Angeles warehouse. I am not sure how to use the site to promote it.
If your links are related to the content of the page that they are on, then search engines will probably see them as genuine resources for your visitors, but if your personal site has very little traffic and PR then the links may well not be siginificant enough to bother the search engines anyway.
