Personal PHP Proxy

I have a shared Linux server (proxies allowed) and would like to have a personal proxy.

I do not know how to set up the domain root or which script to use.

There are a lot of PHP scripts, but I do not want my browser to be on a proxified page. I want it to look and act normal with no restrictions like SSL or youtube.

Also it needs to be able to use SSL.

As far as I know, there's no web-proxy script that can do all of your need. The closest one might be CGI Proxy but I doubt your shared hosting allow that.
You might consider buying VPN or socks proxy for your needs.

I tried socks SSH, the connection failed for some reason. I will attempt an SSL HTTP Tunnel next, but have no clue how ????

socks proxy tend to be dead fast..unless you have your own socks proxy which can easily be made if you have VPS/dedicated server
http://www.stunnel.org/ --> for HTTP tunneling thru SSL

That only thing about CGI proxy is that it doesn't work on all javascripts. At least it doesn't when we tried it. There were errors, or the script not working when we tried through it.

Have you considered using the Glype proxy script with a Youtube plugin and a customised template to make it look like a browser page?
As a former proxy webmaster I have found that Glype was fast, customisable and easy on bandwidth compared to other proxy scripts. And with a .htacces file you can even password protect it so that no one can access it
