personal payapl account & ipn

    i only have a business paypal account and i know i can enable ipn for my account.

    however, can personal paypal accounts use ipn?

    Right, personal accounts are designed for personal use. For this reason it's good to have both a personal account and a premier account which is allowed by PayPal.

    IPN is designed for businesses and so it's quite understandable why personal accounts cannot use the technology. Also, since personal accounts can only accept up to 5 payments from credit cards, it could delay a lot of your incoming payments and upset your customers if you tried to use it for your business transactions.
