    I know that I can download them..

    But I want them to remain permanently in my DP inbox..

    Does creating a subfolder in PM helps that ?

    Well PM's in sub folders last for 365 days, I don't think there is a way of making it last forever until you delete it without changing VB's settings.

    DP's PMs use 40 GB+ of space and you want to save all:eek:

    Tehn, I would guess, we need 1 TB of space enough for next 3-4 months.

    Why not just download them and save it in gmail/yahoo mail?

    You mean save it as Note in yahoo/gmail right ?

    We can think about this ..Why deleting All PMs every 3 months ? There is a limit in your PM inbox .(1000 PMs) ..Everyone delete there PM's after they reach near that limit.. don't they ?

    I never delete any PM. They automatically get deleted after 60 days limit. I take their backups on a regular basis though.

    Nah,as attachments.

    There are many members here in dp and the pms need a heck lot of disk space,server costs money ya know.People communicate via pm's and I believe most of the pms are of no use after a certain period,hence the pm's will be deleted automatically after 90 days....

    Well I don't need to store PM because normally I deleted it after 1 or 2 hours depends on importance. If it is usefull than I copy it into notepad for future use.

    Make a new folder called important or whatever and it will tell you once you open up the important folder ;
    "Important contains 0 messages (automatically deleted after 365 days)."

    never thought about it, perhaps making a folder is a nice idea! 365 days is a lot of time, thanks for the info:)
