    Dear All,

I just wondering to know your opinion about permanent link.

What exactly the meaning of permanent link?
    What the responsibility of seller?

    I need your opinion:

I bought 1 permanent link but 2 month later the link was disappear.
Why? the seller have sold their website. It causing they didn't have access to maintain the link and unfortunately the new owner delete the link.

Hope to hear from you. Thanks

Permanent just means that the link will stay up as long as the site does. In this case it wasn't long and I hope you did not pay much for it. If it were a more expensive back link I would make sure you had an agreement that the site has to stay up for at least a year minimum or you get your money back.

In most cases I've been hearing paying for links is something that Google frowns upon nowadays...anyone else have a comment on this?

permanent links are those which stays on the site for ever. however, be carefull when buying permanent links and for sure try to find out whom are you buying from. some will sell you permanent links and then remove the link some time later and sell more. also, when the site is sold where your link was, new owner in some cased dont bother keeping the links as he/she realizes that the link spots can be sold for $$$ which culd bring the new owner some additional revenue. i have seen situations where a network of sites was sold and the new owner agreed to keep the existing links but removed them all once the transaction was completed

They are useless! You should always get an assigned amount of time that the link will stay. If the site is sold or closed in a month or two, you have no recourse because it was permanent to the old owner. If you buy for a certain period, you can track down the old owner and demand a refund of the time left. You may not get money back but at least you have a better chance.

I never sell permanent for the very reason that you just never know how long a site will last.

Permanent links are those which remains on a website forever or for a long time. As you stated that you bought a link on the website and second owner deleted your site link. First answer is that , you should not go for buying links because google frowns over buying links and it's not a good practice. Secondly, how did you come to know that owner has sold that site to someone else ?

    Thanks for sharing

I'm asking to seller about broken link and they said that the site has been sold and have no responsible for that broken link.

In their opinion, permanent link just as long as the site in their hand.

I just wonder, why they sell permanent link if they can't maintain it.

Easy answer, to make more money. Permanent links sell for higher than month to month or even yearly. If I knew I was selling a site in two months, if I was not very honest, I could sell several permanent links to make more money.

No such thing as a permanent link..:). I think this is a ploy for people to get the last bit of money out of a site they intend to sell.. Create your own permanent links using free wordpress blogs and some content poster.
