Permalinks?

I have a web service where users have their own page with their name in the URL.

So that David can see his profile via above link.

But i want same page opens with

Please tell me, how can i do this thing?.

 

Use apache mod_rewrite, If you are not sure about this, let me know I will give the code too..

Put this line in your .htaccess file

RewriteRule ^(.*)/$ index.php?user=$1
