Permalinks, Help please!

    Hey,

    I was linking a friend to an article on my site and i noticed how annoying the whole numbers and jargon that come with the link are! So i was reading around and find out i need to setup permalinks to get links to my articles to - www.mysite.com/articlename.html is that right? how do i set them up? I hear its good for SEO too?
