Hi, i cant find the answer anywhere. I want to use Wordpress as an Article Directory. The Problem is, I have for example: Main Category "Health & Wellness" and Child Category "Alternative Medicine" When someone publishes an Article in Alternative Medicine" i want the Layout like this: domain.com/alternative-medicine/the-post and not like this: domain.com/health-wellness/alternative-medicine/the-post Any Tip how i can solve this? %category% displays both main category and child category... thx
This was a plugin originally made for previous versions of WP http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/remove-parents/ Not sure whether it will work with the latest 2.7 version, but you could give it a try.
Unfortunately this is the biggest setback to Wordpress -- we can't use pages as the parent category.... there is no work around for it. Just a warning -- don't use that plugin before reading the comments, you'll see that it really messes up your Wordpress installation!!
