Are there any perks for using something else besides Paypal? I have never had a problem with paypal and everyone seems to accept it.

It depends on how much amount you are transferring and the nature of business and also your luck.... There are many horror stories of using paypal.

I would avoid Paypal if you can, they limited my account three times in one month and every time they ask for more and more personal/business information. I was a customer for 10 years and had very few complaints and one day the limits started out of nowhere.

    Good luck!

Yes, Alertpay is a good alternative, but if you aren't having trouble with PayPal, maybe you don't need to worry about it.

If you're looking for alternative payment processor compared to PayPal, there are several (see list below):

    Google Checkout
    Checkout with Amazon
    AlertPay
    Payoneer
    iDeal
    Ogone
    Alipay

there are also several other payment processors which accept PayPal payments

    Authorize.Net
    iPay88
    Payeasy
    Paysbuy
    RBS Worldpay

    the list goes on.

I hate paypal because they put a limited account access to my account. I am also looking for other alternatives.

muffet, thanks for the list. but:
Google checkout is available only in UK and US and I am from India.
Payoneer accepts only master cards, but I have only a visa card.
Alert pay is a good option though. I hope Alert pay doesnt limit your account or take your money with some nonsense reasons like paypal do.

Have anyone heard of entropay. I am trying to use it and it looks good. I will mostly try to receive my next payment using Entropay.

Paypal is bad (at times though), but they are the best in the business for now, google even with all its expertise could not compete with them. Paypals charges are one of the lowest in the industry, i have tried many and they are so exorbitant that many a times you have to think of adding the cost to customers bill.

If you have any doubt about a payment processor's services, contact their Customer Service, before signing up for an account. And read their Terms of Service or Terms of Use thoroughly as well before signing up for an account with them. Yes some payment processor's services are only going to be able to you depending upon which country or region you're currently in.
