Perhaps a silly question: Adsense in Firefox?

If someone is running Firefox, and they click an adsense ad on your site, does it "count"?

I only ask because I've just started tracking my adsense clicks in analytics and so far they are 100% IE.

40% of my users run firefox. So I was wondering if perhaps there was something screwy between adsense and firefox that was so widely acknolwedged that no one ever talked about it online.

Like I said, perhaps a silly question. Still, can't hurt to ask eh?

They count, but the AdSense tracking stuff only supports Internet Explorer for the most part.

don't forget that IE users are less tech savvy and tend to click on ads more than the FF users.

i hear you on the point about FF users being more savy. That was my initial response before the panic set in. Thanks for clearing it up guys. Click away!

Yeah is there a script that picks up firefox clicks too? In all honestly that digital point script for tracking adsense is so helpful it feels like Im cheating!

oh I understand that, its just ruthlessly helpful. When I picked up the first 10 clicks or so in the reverse nav section of analytics I almost wet my pants. Really helpful stuff.

I use channels in adsense, without knowing the specific ad, I have a prety good idea of what being clicked.

is this tool you guys are talking about that helpful, or more helpful than channels?

well with analytics I can actually trace the path that led UP TO the click. Thats the scary part. Channels will definitely tell you where the clicks went down. But with analytics I can look for patterns etc. To me, thats helpful info. I'm new to this but its the kind of info that will inform all future monetization decisions.

I run a social networking type site so this also tells me specifically which gallery images convert well and which video page converts etc etc.

I did some crosschecking with clicks in Adsense and my statcounter account. It's about 70/30 IE's way at the mo. Don't know if it is a trend or not. Been running Adsense only since April 26 2006. Only time will tell but I do agree with ZachG & digitalpoint.
