Does anybody have experience with Performics? They seem to have a good set of advertisers they work with. I've been looking into that program and linkshare as possibile programs to work with because they have advertisers that work with my niche. Is there any reason to stay away from these guys?
I hate performics interface, but they have a lot of big stores on there. They are both legit companies though
I've had bad experiences with Performics. I promoted them for over a year. The first few months were good, then the last few months turned bad. When I started making more money through them, they started to lag with payments. They simply don't like to pay their affiliates. My last paycheck took over 4 months to receive. The only reason why I received my last paycheck was because I reported them to the BBB (Better Business Bureau) for non-payment. I will never do business with them again. LinkShare was ok, but I didn't like their selection of merchants, or their interface.
Performics is a legitimate network. They work similarly to the way Linkshare does. Each affiliate program pays separately on its own terms/timing. So some programs that are run by them pay fast; others may take months to cough up the cash. You simply need to understand that it works differently than CJ.com and take your relationships as if you work with each affiliate program separately; performics is just an intermediary.
I have always prefered linkshare compared to performics. I joined performics about a year ago to use their datafeeds and didn't like the way the deal with them. They will only allow you to use 1 or 2 of their datafeeds to start of with where you have to get them activated once asked and if you do well then they will allow you to use more of them. I don't know if they still have this sort of rule in place or not though.
What is wrong with linkshare ? I hate their interface too, they must be lead by some weird people . How can the interface look weird for the majority of the people .. Something else I also hate, is that they hide their phone number on the website , you need to spend a good 10 - 15 minutes to find it .. addition to that today when I found it and called, there was no one available to take my call, had to leave a message . They did not manage to answer my inquiry on their "submission form" on the site within 24 hours . I mean how serious you gotta be about your business to communicate with affiliates at a level that was good back in the 80`s . It sucks because they really have some good inventory . Anyways, just my 2cents .
I had some issues with linkshare paying out, but it was sort of both of our fault. They certainly didnt try hard to help me though. Their interface is just so much better than performics. CJs interface isnt bad, but not perfect either.
Still no response from Linkshare, I sent an inquiry 3 days ago, I have about 300 visitors/day that I want to sell a product that they have in their inventory and no response from them . I am on top of the search engines for these keywords and cannot monetize (other than low paying Adsense ) , and these people who once I read an interview about and in the interview the CEO or whatever said that they are going to be as big as Google . Well you guys are, just not a success story, but an ass that big . Idiots !
