Performance Incentive Posted ... Will I Receive This Month

I was checking my CJ account today and I am seeing that all of my funds have locked. The only thing is that one of the advertisers also locked in (on May 12, 2008) $2xx for performance incentive. Will I receive that this month as well or next month? I would think this month but just wanted to make sure I was figuring this correctly...

You should. If you are on good terms with the advetisers it's considered to be the same as any other earnings. I have some huge chunk from performance incentive locked too. So I am hoping I will get it this month. Keep us updated whether your were paid or not.

I am getting a bit weary now because its the 15th today and the advertiser has been deactivated until they make a commission deposit. With 5 days to go and the $9xx still not showing up as "Closed" ... can someone please explain if they ever had a situation like this and the advertiser made the deadline.

One more thing... the commission is showing up as "Locked" so that doesn't mean I will be paid that does it? This is my best advertiser so hopefully we get some results.

Locked doesn't necessarily mean you will be paid. My incentive was locked in March but I didn't get it in April. But I am getting it this month.

I think the whole thing is a pure idiotism. If any of those online advertisers or companies like CJ.com treated their customers the way they do them now in real life they would be sued and get out of business a long time ago. The internet gives them a temporary invincibility and protection. I guarantee you in a few years they will all vanish because they are illegitimate in their business approach.

Most of them are American based. I live in the US. America is heading for socialism and if socialism wins here those companies will have you like their own slaves. For now they still treat you with some (little) respect. They started good, using capitalist ideas but now they are all (including Ebay) is a bunch of bull crap.

If the performance incentive showed up on May 12 (which should be the performance incentive for March 1-31 - there's a 1 month lag before performance incentives are credited to compensate for reversals), then that should appear on your payment around May 20 (if I remember correctly).

If you're constantly hitting performance incentives, ask the affiliate manager for the program if they can put you on terms that pay the performance incentive level as the default payout. I do this for my programs, and most affiliate managers are happy to do so as long as your performance is good. No more waiting for performance incentives...

I think you're missing the point that this is real life. What are they doing that could get them sued? If they're doing anything illegal or in breach of their contract with you, you can sue them - this is real life, and there's nothing stopping you from suing them.

What is illegitimate about their business approach? CJ has been around for a long time because they are legit and one of the most respected and largest affiliate networks... There's no reason why their large affiliates (making $xx,xxx/month) wouldn't sue them if they were doing something that was not legit.

Alright, its beginning to worry me a bit here now cause the advertiser STILL has not made a deposit yet. And there is a few days left before the deposit... I'm hoping everything plays out OK.

To figure out when that performance incentive will be paid, your best bet is to call CJ. They'll be able to tell you when it will be paid & why. Give Publisher Support a call - their contact info is at http://www.cj.com/about/contact.html .

Matt... that is not the only problem, the advertiser is STILL deactivated because they have not made a commission deposit yet. They told me on Thursday that there was a technical issue between them and the people who MANAGE THEIR CPA. To say the least... they said the campaigns would be re-activated shortly yet I have yet to see anything about the campaign being re-activated or the commission deposit being made (since my funds are still in the "LOCKED" position.)

    Help me out here...

Anybody have a response... I am really beginning to somewhat doubt I will get paid this month which sucks big time because I have 2 bill's due right now. The advertiser STILL HAS NOT MADE A COMMISSION DEPOSIT! Is it too late or is it still possible for them to make one tonight and I get paid. I'm a bit concerned as to whether I will continue with them or not as well because its a bit aggrevating and I contacted the manager of the program and they keep telling me they are working on it but that's been the excuse for the last week or so.

    Please help!!!!!!!!!!!

Which advertiser is having these issues (if you don't want to post publicly, can you PM me)? Their payment is clearly overdue & since they're in the deactivated state, I don't think you'll get paid this period.

If it's enough money that you're owed, contact the advertiser once their deposit goes through & ask if they can get CJ to cut you a check early rather than waiting another month. This HAS been done in the past by a small number of merchants for their top performers, but it will probably cost the advertiser some extra money (and CJ may not be terribly willing to cut a payment manually).

I agree, it is too late now for this month. Email CJ and explain that so and so has not deposited money yet. At least by doing so you will ensure that you will be paid next month.

tvmatt and vitalbusiness: I've contacted them, apparently the "Closing" period ended on the 17th so I won't be paid this month which sucks! The program manager keeps saying that they are working to resolve it as quickly as possible. It sucks though because its $9xx for last month, not to mention the face that I've made $2xx more with the same advertiser before they were deactivated this month. So they currently owe me around $1,1xx for next month right now.

The bad thing is an internet marketer does have bills and my first mistake was to put all my eggs in one basket and focus on this ONE advertiser because they did so well. Since I focused on them too hard and no other one's (except eBay, which yielded me $0.05 cents from a sale) -- this advertiser is what I was going to use to pay the 2 bills. Looks like I learned a strong lesson from this as well.
