Selling Perfect Site & Domain For Starcraft 2 Strategy Site.

History

I first bought this domain several years ago, when Starcraft 2 was first announced. I have always wanted to develop it, but I'm no longer an active player. This is the PERFECT DOMAIN for a Starcraft 2 strategy site. SC2 is a well known abbreviation for the game. The potential for this site is enormous in the right hands. .

Focus

The site is currently a video blog. I was attracted to the design of the video area in the single post pages. Right now it simply displays youtube videos, with short descriptions from the various ladder games in Starcraft 2, along with some great tutorials at bronze level from a well known commentator. You could do so much more with it.

The content, in terms of the writing is unique. The site also uses the Zemanta related posts plugin to display links to other sites predominantly, starcraft related, but also in the online game/mmorpg area.

The site uses Google's structured data scheme for Video based reviews, although they do not show that way in the SERP's quite yet because the site is still new.

Revenue

The site currently carries banner based advertising for some of the popular Starcraft 2 strategy guides. The Zemanta plugin has an option of earning revenue from affiliated links. There are many other ways you could earn revenue with a site of this type. Youtube in-video based advertising is an example. You could change the site to feature your own strategy videos, membership based subscriptions etc.

Traffic

The site has very little traffic at this point. The content is relatively fresh. It is a domain however that will attract strong natural serp's rankings so expect organic traffic to grow very well with a little promotion.

I have established a number of social pages you can use to cross promote the site and gain traffic.

Administration/Backend

The site runs the latest version of Wordpress, and uses the eVid theme from Elegant Themes. If your familiar with Wordpress you will find it very easy to manage.

Ongoing Cost

The theme is entirely free so you can update it easily. There are no commercial plugins that require further licencing costs. I run the site on my reseller hosting account along with several others. The costs are negligible. I have never used paid advertising or bought any links for the site of any kind, so there are no recurring expenses other than hosting.

Why Am I Selling?

I first started this site because I was a big Starcraft fan and I still am. But I think it needs someone who is currently active in the SC2 community and motivated to give the site a real kick.
