Your mistake is by thinking that i would impress people by stats based on image impressions, That wasnt my intention at all again please dont jump into the conclusion you are not me, you dont know whats on my mind, how did you end up saying i was thinking that people would be impressed?? you are guessing right? please dont. dont dont. get your facts straight. Again i just copy and posted my stats given to me by godaddy stats. i dint touch any numbers or anything and you think its my mistake GOOD ONE

Has google analytics come out of beta stage now? Haven’t checked recently! I suggested statcounter because of this as being quick and easy alternative and a right now solution.

Dunno about the “Unfortunately your unique visitors per day will go down exponentially (maybe less than 100).” Bit, I hope not, to produce that many image impressions this figure would have to be higher! Going on those figures Based on just simply his unique hits playkid has got 850 images per request etc. etc. on his page? I was taking a risk that it may be 1k based on image impressions etc, anyway we will see.

PLAYKID, yeah; to be frank I think it would be a bad idea to close this thread because although you feel justified that you have proven your worth to keep your credibility I think to get further sales in the future it would be a good idea to keep this thread open and not post till tomorrow!

I suggest we prove them all wrong as you said by getting my verification of the statistics as well! As your customer I would like to see these for any further business anyway, I only initially paid for a month because I had my own doubts, if everything is ok I will pay you for a year!

BTW. You never got back to me on the prices for a year? Please PM me.

Anyway; everyone I think we should call it a day for now and give playkid a break and I will not post anything here myself until tomorrow for the now promised statcounter results! I look forward to them and thanks playkid.

I read every single post, then read every post in this thread as well before I contributed.

Clearly, I didn't word my post sufficiently well. I'm not saying admit you were lying or trying to scam anyone. Personally, I don't believe you were.

What I do think is that you misinterpreted your stats. It's something we have all done at some stage or another.

Even experienced webmasters can think their stats say one thing when in fact they really point out something else - for example, stats can appear to indicate high traffic but closer examination of the traffic can actually reveal it to come from click-networks or spambots.

So, what I am saying is that I believe you have misinterpreted your stats and based on that misinterpretation, have made your offer with regards paid links. Not maliciously, nor with the intent to scam or deceive anyone, but because you believed your traffic to be the high level you claimed.

As has been pointed out by several people, the traffic claims you made didn't appear to ring true from their experience, so they quite appropriately, questioned you about it.

Now we are into the area of mistake v's scam.

My own take on the matter at the moment is that you made a mistake interpreting the number of visitors to your site. A genuine mistake but a mistake nonetheless.

This is why I suggested, and still do suggest, that you admit that you made an error in interpreting the traffic (by way of number of visitors) to your site and act accordingly.

People can accept such a mistake if you hold your hand up to it and say; "Yes, I misinterpreted the traffic by way of visitors. Sorry about the confusion. I'll refund anyone who wants one," they will forgive you and even help you out in the future with advice and stuff. It's what happens on a forum like DP.

What people will not forgive ... and I say this with confidence because I've seen it happen on numerous occasions - what they won't forgive is someone trying to do a hustle for a few lousy dollars.

So the choice is yours. I personally believe you made a genuine error with your stats and are a bit embarrassed by it (been there, done that). From the tone of some other posts I think that's what they believe has happened as well.
