I have gotten my CTR in and around the mid single digit numbers. However, I want to get it into the teens. I have tried many things, but I just can't seem to get out of the single digit CTR%. I would appreciate any help from experienced and sophisticated AdSense users. Any advice or screens of high CTR's guys?
Well your about 5% is not bad for a start, my CTR has risen to 10%+ after some experiments, but it seems not only to be a question of ad format, style and placement. My observations suggest that it also depends on your niche, content and the kind of visitors/traffic you receive. (90% of my traffic originates from the search engines, 80% Google)
To some, getting a 5% CTR would be great! However, I'm a firm believer that you can increase your CTR by taking time to experiment with different ad placements, blending and color schemes. In addition, you should analyze your stats to see what KW's ppl are finding your site and more importantly, what % of your traffic is from the SERPs. The best payouts and CTR comes from organic, targeted traffic from SERPs. 80-85%+ should come from the engines with a majority of that from Google. Hope that helps!
Mine is double digit Try this http://makemoney.earnpros.com/2008/08/23/adsense-secret-to-get-maximum-ad-conversions
Exactly. You might want to tell us your source of traffic and niche first. I have multiple websites with similar placement and the CTR varies for as much as 10%. It's not uncommon to have a 20% CTR if your traffic is targeted and wants the product/service you are advertising with adsense. Then you could take a look at themes like these and design your own later on.
Well i disagree on that... i know it´s not uncommon but i wouldn´t feel any comfortable with that ctr... lets say were talking about a 2k hit per day site/blog... 20% CTR is 400clicks... that´s very very high for me. (not for me but for google) A good value would be about 4-8% depending on the traffic and niche
Correct and i can confirm it This is the old secret: niche sites + google traffic. This is the most powerfull combination you can achieve, trust me.
You can increase your CTR by targeted traffic . Always try new places by removing ads and color combination and check which combination works best on your site . I am getting 2-3% Ctr than also i am earning $3 daily from my blog .
Most of the time, it depends on the niche in which you are in. Ad placement together with ad blending are also important. However, if I were you, 5% should be more than good enough.
Holly dear goodness dude; Your template is amazing for AdSense. Dude. Your template is so blended that it even took me a few minutes to see that your skyscraper was an advertisement. Great job man! Johnson - I have already taken a look at those templates. Thanks though man. Everyone else - Thanks for the tips. Keep them up. I think I May give something like the template above a try. We'll see.
Hmmm, i think placing your ads at most visible place will be good enough if your niche is something people would get help or purchase something through it.
20% CTR wont be a problem if you follow TOS. You mean Targeted Ads. 2-3% is good if you have Direct Traffic otherwise its very low if its google traffic.
I've got one site that is constantly receiving double digit CTR for some time now and haven't had any problems with Google because the traffic to the site is mostly organic, and there is nothing on the site that even comes close to violating the TOS. I was concerned when the rate increased dramatically, but I made sure that I was in compliance with TOS and haven't heard a peep.
There might be a problem with your site: If you resize your browser window and make it narrower, then the Adsense units on your left will be obscured by the section aligned to the right side of the window. Google doesn't allow your Ad units to be concealed. Adsense Program Policy, "Ad Placement" section states: "Elements on a page must not obscure any portion of the ads." I Just thought it would be good for you to know about it...
make some changes in theme, location, if still not increase, then wait for some interesting advertiser's ads.
