    LOL

Guys, this isn't the first time McCain has said something ridiculously stupid.

Judging from the retarded stuff he's spewed in the past, It's entirely in the realm of possbility, sourced or not.

    MY FAVORITE MCCAIN QUOTES:

"I hated the gooks. I will hate them as long as I live."

"I said, 'The nice thing about Alzheimer's is you get to hide your own Easter eggs.'"

"We should be able to deliver bottled hot water to dehydrated babies."

"F**k you! I know more about this than anyone else in the room."

"Do you know why Chelsea Clinton is so ugly? Because Janet Reno is her father."

Speaking of stimulus checks, my brother-in-law who was in Iraq did not receive one either because he was in Iraq for more than half of the year. I thought that was pretty crazy. Because he was fighting for our country and was getting tax free payments, he was not eligible to receive a stimulus check.

Anyhow, I don't believe this article at all. If McCain really said this, it would be all over the place.

My favorite one is this one : "No."

When offered an early release from his North Vietnamese torturers because of his father's status in the military, that would have served as good propaganda for the North Vietnamese.

Have to agree. That was back in the days when it was more common for good men to put their country before themselves.

What really warmed me up to McCain was this article a few months ago. Lot of things I didn't know about him really made me stop and think.

Did you ever put your country before yourself? You keep supporting scum politicians and leaders so you obviously are doing our country a huge disservice.

Here are some things you missed: McCain was the son of a powerful American admiral and and oil heiress. He attended expensive prep schools and graduated from the US Naval Academy - 894th out of a class of 899. He was a poor pilot - he crashed 5 Navy aircraft before being shot down over North Vietnam. He DID provide the NVA with propaganda information - he resisted for 4 days. He has a poor record of supporting US troops, POWs and MIAs. He DID use his son, in person, to counter a woman concerned about the war in Iraq. Try visiting vietnamveteransagainstjohmccain.com

Outside of accountants very few people understand the tax code, how the tax system works or even what percentage they pay every month (other than too much).

If knowledge is based on income then movie stars are really smart? OR the people that are forced into slave labor (no income) are really stupid?

Character doesn't show up on a GPA. If it did we'd probably have no crooked CEOs.

He was made a target after refusing to be released and was tortured in such a way that movement of his arms has been permanently restricted. That's why he's against torture, he knows if you put the screws to somebody hard enough, no matter how tough(or in his case how much character they have) they are, they'll eventually tell you what you want to hear. There's no shame in his "confession". 99% of people probably would have gotten the hell out of there when they got the chance, self included.

No thanks. I don't waste time on trash unless it's porn, so unless there's boobies there...

Good soldiers don't necessarily make good leaders. Why should we make our judgements on leaders based on their war experience? What "Songbird McCain" did or did not do during the Vietnam war really doesn't make any difference to me.

I want to know how he's going to help our economy, what his foreign policies are, and what kind of POSTIVE things he's going to bring to the table FOR AMERICA.

That's the problem with American culture.

We are way too focused on war - especially McCain and his cronies. But whatever, that's good for the majority of the sheep in America. Fear sells, ask any marketing expert.

As I travel the world I compare my culture to other cultures around the world, I've come to realize the American culture is probably one of the most violent in the world -- hands down.

But personally I'm not over and above this.

I'm a product of my atmosphere, I'm an American, and I'm violent.

    Thank you.

You haven't been south of the border. The Murder rate in Colombia is 20x the US and Mexico is 4x.

Btw, the murder rate in Russia is 5x the US.

If it truly does not make a difference to you then don't insult him and insinuate that the man was somehow dishonorable. If you do make those claims have the common decency to back them up.

Insulting a man who spent 5+ years as a POW serving "your" country is disgusting in my opinion. I don't care if you like him but there is simply nothing to be gained with those types of insults.

Personally, I think it detracts from everything you post in this forum - the vile and nasty nature of your posts says more about you as man that it does about McCain. Why should anyone take anything you say seriously?

Your insults make me rethink my own opposition to John McCain.

Yes, we is stupid --- LOL.

    Fail.

    I live in Mexico...

The only violence I've ever really heard about is cartel related. When I first moved here 2 different people were shot dead on my street in a span of 6 months -- cartels.

Could certainly same the same about Columbia.

America has Mexico beat on crimes by 4x. We also have the highest number of prisoners in the entire world.

Here's a quick example of what I'm talking about.

In Mexico the parties are cool, everyone is getting drunk, singing, and having a good time.

In California (where I'm from) everyone is getting drunk at parties and then picking a fistfight. I remember when I was younger groups of guys would roll around and jump people just for fun -- beating up people as some kind of weekend hobby.

    It makes no sense.

You're not the only one voting for McCain for completely arbitrary reasons.

How many posters here won't vote for Obama because he's black, yet come up with other excuses ???

Mia where are you when we need you.

I hate to call BS on this, but I have to. I've been to Mexico a couple of times, we never had anything serious happen but we were informed by locals that we should not wear jewelry and make sure to lock our doors on the car. Perhaps the further south you go the better it is in terms of lower crimerate. But directly across the border is a very poor region which typically spells trouble in terms of crime rates.

I had the opportunity to go to South America for work for a couple of months a few years ago. After reading up on the area I decided against it. It is not uncommon for Americans to be mugged and have their belongings stolen. Or even worse, have them kidnapped and held for ransom from the "rich Americans". You may be used to it, but crime rates are certainly not superior to that of even most Southern US states due to low income and corrupt local governments.

    Hell yes.
I think in some places more people want something for nothing than for actually working.
    It is a Nanny Culture.
Too much support from the state/ benefits while many are still working illegally.
    Here is a fine example.
We all know the difficulties and resentments faced by immigrant workers.
In some trades in London, rumor has it, an Eastern European workers, especially Polish can demand a higher rate per hour, since historically, they don't call in sick, winge, do drugs, etc, and are far more productive.
Whilst there is a recession in many parts of the West, Eastern Europe is Boom time!

Why am I not surprised that you heard and reply to something totally different than what I said. If you were honest you would acknowledge that I said I was opposed to McCain. Of course, you are dishonest and twist my opposition into claiming I am voting for him. When you have to resort to outright lies it may be you should step away from the keyboard.

I've lived in Mexico for the past 2 years. The worst thing that happend was I had my laptop stolen. My friend had his hat stolen.

Mexico definitely has a lot more thieves than America, IMO they are just more prone to thievery out here for some reason.

But, they are a lot less violent.

    It's a trade off.

I hope Americans vote Barry Obama into the office. It'll give me 4 years to laugh my ass off as they bang their heads against the wall asking "what were we thinking?" "D
