I have to say I see this a lot around DP in the sites for sale section all these people hassling others saying that there isn't enough content on the site to make anything out of it or just hassling the people selling the sites. For god sake if you don't like it don't buy it or post I mean come on. For example a day or two ago I posted a video site up that just started and was willing to sell for a BIN of $40... thats tiny compared to some sites BIN I see and people where telling me I didn't have enough traffic and content. I have to say these people where wrong. In the last 2 hours I have made $2 from the site I that I had just launched earlier this week and it continues to grow with the same content it had and same traffic. Now at the end of the day it will be sitting hopefully around $12+ and these hassling people could've bought it for $40. My moral is don't judge the book (site) by its cover (traffic + content)... your not the webmaster of the site so you don't really know how great the deal is.
Did you ever stop to think these people might have been trying to give you some constructive criticism. Don't be so quick to go on the defensive. Sift through the verbage you received and maybe you'll find something that will help you. Good luck with your endeavor. donrock
I agree with the reply, I wouldnt pay much for a site with little content or traffic either... I mean the traffic and content is exactly what makes a website.. Without it your left with the design.. coding.. and....... well thats it unless theres a custom script with it or something. $40 though? Pretty damn cheap if you ask me. I would pay $40 for just the design or just the coding. People are underselling themselves these days, a unique quality website design and coding should sell for $120+
