It depends on the topic of your video, and the keywords you use too. My video on how to use my proxy site to unblock myspace etc, has gotten 50+ views in the last two days without ANY PROMOTION. Pretty good eh? Good luck with your video, try adding different keywords.

That is a rick roller video, NOT a viral video. That video is a good example of how NOT to promote a professional site. There is no way I would visit your site - blog - forum or anything else after viewing your video.

Youtube promotion can be very effective, but it has to be done in a professional manner. The video you made is NOT the way to promote your site on youtube.

It depends on how you go about it. Some videos might hit alot well. You can do one thing, upload videos of popular TV shows and movies, get a lot of subscribers and then post your videos to help them go viral.

That is also a good way to get your youtube account deleted.

There is a name for what you are doing, its called "theft". You are taking someone elses property, and claiming it as your own. Another way to describe that kind of activity is called "copyright infringement".

I have something like over 70 videos up on Youtube. Some of them pull, some of them don't. Here's a secret.

Give some type of LIVE video training session to people via ustream (promote this in forums,)

Once the live broadcast is completed, upload it to Youtube. Make a couple of other videos, and a small report, add in back links to your squeeze page and sales letters, put a high price on it. Then distribute it to the file sharing sites.

YouTube works well for attracting traffic, but it's not the end all be all.

YouTube can be quite powerful, but don't underestimate the need for keyword research when creating titles and descriptions. Search for those keywords on YouTube as well and see how you rank...the more ratings and comments you get will boost your on-site ranking, but as far as the search engines go, remember that all the general SEO rules apply.

    To Your Success,
