People Are Losing Backlinks - No One Knows Why!

Humm, I think I have the answer...I started a new domain and started writing and submitting unique articles to low page rank article directories and after 2 months I had 80 backlinks, I also have another established site (2 years) and it had 500 backlinks to it in August and I built them up to 780 as of last week using the same set of article directories, whilst using high PR directories for 2 other sites.

RESULTS....

The low page rank directory back links have been halved! The new site now has only 18 links and the old established site has 350 links, whilst the other 2 domains with high pr directory submissions are still strong on page 1 of Google.

I first thought it was the effect of a link I bought on here for the established site as it fell of page 1 to page 4...then I checked the links and noticed the massive difference.

So I have stopped doing SEO for the established site - give it a few days to calm down and see if any power from the new link will bring it back up if not I will submit some unique articles to the high PR directories.

Google sure complicates everything. But they only care about their customers, not your website

 

I have also noticed several of my sites have lost backlinks recently.

 

I have experienced the same problem too...Right now I lost my PR rank maybe its because I have removed some of my links in my forum signature that is why I lost some backlinks for my site....Google seems complex nowadays you dont know what happen next

 

Google is just doing some "spring cleaning" Deleting alot of useless links... god knows we all have some of those...

 

Noticed it too, not just Google but Yahoo too, seems backlinks have come down by something like 60%

 

my problem is with yahoo. i lost 20k links in one week with them!

 

Yea I notice the loss of backlinks with yahoo, not Google...

 

SEOQuake and Yahoo site explorer shows my number of backlinks dropped from 40k to 4k.

But, in google webmaster, backlinks increased from 40k to 70k.

I don't know which one is true too.

as per my knowledge Google will update it's algorithm in some time span, because of that might be some website loose backlink and some website will gain the backlinks .

 

Things are getting normal now. Back to normal back links count.

 

I lost a lot of backlinks and serps from google last week, I think they are preparing to roll out something.

 

It seems to be ok with me. All my back links are here itself. Don't know why this weird things are happening to you guys.

it's slowly getting up now.....not sure it's the backlink building as well as has been doing a lot since "the event"..haha

 

Always use free seo tools to get right information of backlinks, instead of google or yahoo explorer.
