If the US govt faked it, why use boats that looked like they belonged on Baywatch?

the video does look kinda oldish when you think about it but then again it could be a cell phone. I think its real, the IRAN leader is a nut so two nuts with ego problems don't mix. How ever i don't understand IRANs logic behind this. they know they would be wiped off the face of the earth of they pushed america too far. I think there just mad at us because IRAN couldn't get to IRAQ before we did. And we wouldn't let IRAN over run IRAQ so i think there a little hurt about us.

The only experience I have is with Saudis who attend my university so with Saudi's yes, Saudi Arabia, not so much.

I would call the movie unbiased or as unbiased as you can make such a movie because the message of the movie wasn't "this terrorist is evil or a god send", it portrayed a terrorist attack, the violence that ensued in order to get justice and how that violence is perpetuated i.e. the part about how both the fbi agent and terrorist say "We're going to kill them all".

    Hi B
I don't think we will ever know what happened.
They are like a pair of schoolkids each blaming each other.
I have seen idiots and liars on both sides.
But if I was going to flip a coin, it suits the US
as there is an election. They always organize these
fundraisers when there is an election.

Apparently the US didn't fire on the Vietnamese in the second Gulf of Tonkin attack either. Oh wait, neither did the Vietnamese fire on the Americans!

But that didn't stop the story from being the impetus for one of our worst wars.

The point is moot because the US warships did not fire on the Iranians.

There's not any gain in sinking their ships.

Howver, the Iranians are a danger to our warships. The Iranians hit an Israeli patrol boat with a missle in the Hezbollah off the coast of Lebanon.

Despite what Bush and Cheney might like, I doubt if the Pentagon is of the mind to spur a war with Iran.

The US military is overstretched with the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. While most of the onus is on the army and marines, units from other forces are taking the places of overstretched army and marines.

While there is no one single mind within the Pentagon there has to be plenty of opposition at and near the top of the Pentagon to push any other military agendas at this time.

Military forces have threatened one another in this type of situation for many years in many types of scenarios.

I would tend to believe the American version of this event rather than the Iranian version. I would think the American radio records could identify the voice from the other side.

Still....no harm no foul.....no need for further action. Incidents of this sort have occurred for many years. I am aware, from friends who were stationed at the demilitarized zone in Korea for years. Soldiers from both sides faced off and threatened one another countless times. It was always dangerous.

    No wars occurred.

If anything happens to initiate an attack on Iran by the US I really cannot see people buying the BS anymore.

We all know what a bunch of warmongering lying fools the US Administration has turned out to be.
