I've been using the Google Chrome SEOQuake plugin and I've noticed that all the page ranks are registering as N/A. I've also checked this across numerous datacentres with various online PR checkers and the same outcome is occurring. This usually suggests a pending PR update. It's a little unusual as Google have only done a PR update in October but just wondered if anyone else is seeing the same outcome?
I've same problem for one domain. It was PR1 before, but it's PR N/A now. I think it's a small error in the last PR update. We have to wait for next PR update.
Are all these people with "NA" problems using third party extensions/addons, rather than Google's, to check PR? It's more likely to be a problem with the extensions/addons, if you're getting N/A rather than 0 (zero) or another value. No problems here (with the Chrome Extension PageRank Status). Anyway, as freedomman mentioned - PR comes and goes; the metrics that matter are traffic and sales. That's what you want to chase; wouldn't you prefer pr0 and making lots of $$$$ rather than pr4 and making $ instead?
I don't use any third party extensions/addons to check PR. But there was something different with my domain with PR1. Means PR update was going on for that domain. It's little bit strange. But when Google checks for PR it makes it PR N/A before assigning new PR. The update takes less time. But for my domain, I think it stopped for some reason, may be the server of site suddenly go down. PR do matter, not for money but for crawling. If you have legit PR and you are not buying/selling links, then "PR comes and goes" is false. If you have real PR4 site without buying links then you won't get $, you will get $$$ atleast (on sales). Don't know about others. PR0 and making lots of $$$$ Wait 3 months it will get higher PR in next update.
The update was on 7 November. Why would Google do another so soon? Sounds more like a glitch in data retrieval. I've never seen that before, just the number go from one to another. A page being de-indexed, or moved into the supplemental index, would result in an N/A. (Once it's returned to the "live" index, the same PR is restored.) Actually, this isn't true. The weight of sites linking to you, sites linking to them, and so on, can change. Panda and Penguin have really demonstrated this dominoes effect in a big way. You have contradicted yourself: "PR do matter, not for money", but now you are saying you will get "$$$$ atleast (on sales). You had it right the first time - PR won't bring you money. My PR0 sites making money didn't bring me higher PR yet, despite a few updates. Not a problem to me though, all that matters is the money still keeps coming in.
