Pending Keywords/Optimizing Campaigns For Quality Score and CTR

I haven't wrote for a few days so here it is.

I've noticed with the new Google Interface recently that when I first add a keyword, while it's still pending approval, if I change the keyword to a different match type, change the keyword itself around or change it's bid or even minimum position, the quality score drops by at least 1 point. Is it therefore bad to change a keyword while it's still pending, and possibly hence changing a keyword later could also be bad, what is going on here?

    Also...

Is there ever a good time to have the content network and search network in the same adgroup? I'm coming to the conclusion it might be best to keep each not only in there own adgroup, but in their own campaigns! I think I have good reasons for this, anyone agree or disagree with keeping content and search campaigns separate?
