I've found a domain which is on redemptionperiod for more than 6 months with godaddy! Is that possible?

    Status: redemptionPeriod
    Updated Date: xx-jul-2007
    Creation Date: xx-jan-2006
    Expiration Date: xx-jan-2007

I tried to backorder it but there's no specific date to drop on snapnames. Wonder why is that?

usually domains take 4 months if i am not wrong to drop..

are you sure it shows 6 months? i mean did you try backordering from other sites?

maybe there s a glitch in registry...

I can not believe there is a glitch in registry. That just would never happen..

And how do you know that?

Glitches happen. No one's perfect, however much we try.

That Updated Date line tells me it was recently deleted by Go Daddy and, as
stated, is now in Redemption Period. If the last registrant doesn't redeem the
domain name within that 30-day window starting from the last updated date,
count roughly 35 days after that and that's when it'll be released.
