If we submit an article to articles directories (EzineArticles) and publish it to my website, there is a penalty by google to do that? is not considered as ‘Duplicate Content’?

it's not like they will penalize you for it but i wouldn't recommend it, because it is always better to have unique content on your site.

avoid duplicate content... it is not good. at least try to rewrite the article you plan to submit to the article directory to be different than the original.

No, that is not duplicate content. Just be sure you first post on EA and then your site. With the crackdown on affiliates at EA, they will probably reject your article for duped content. Then you will ask them to reconsider because it is your site and your original article. Then EA will ask you to put your name on the article to prove it is yours. All of this will take a few weeks, so just post to EA first to save all that time.:))

Another thing. Some people recommend changing the title on the copy on your site and maybe the firs paragraph. If you do this you will be much closer to having unique content on your site. But again, it isn't really necessary.

It's not that you will get a penalty. it's just that google will only give credit to the site it indexed first with the content. So if you submitted the article to EA first, the same article on your website later will not get good rankings for your site

I think some spinning on the article would be OK for submitting and use on own sites. It would no be taken as duplicate contents, IMO.:)

you will not get any penalty from google for duplicate contents,

but better to rewrite 30-50% part of article to submit in your site to gain better serp rank. :)

I would also suggest don't copy content from other websites including ezinearticles.com

You don't want any part of your site to be considered redundant. The ezinearticle was indexed first and will be counted as the original.

    better avoid duplicate content
they dont penalize you but filter duplicate content
    filter your result...
your article will come on 10 th page and no one going to see there...
    so better write unique content
    best of luck

No, if the article on your blog was indexed before Digg. The original content is the content that is first seen by googlebot/msnbot/etc. The others are considered as copies of the original one.

    Hello...

    Very poorly titled thread...

Place the article on your site first then wait a few days and submit to article directory...

In that case, ezinearticle and other popular directories will reject the article as it'll be duplicate.
No one like duplicate content :)

Your best approach would be to basically change some content as part of every article you post.
