Penalty for Parking a domain and then using it?

If I park a domain while i'm thinking of things to put on it.. does the domain get penalized in the search engines??? I mean I get pennies or at most a dollar or two here and there..but it's money.

 

Most of the time it won't be indexed at all, it really depends on the company you use. And it won't be penalized, but it's not good for it either.

 

I would throw up a quick landing page with adsense in the meantime. I wouldn't park it.
