Penalty/Bad effect for 302 redirect

    Hi All,

    Anyone pls guide me, what happens if I'll use 302 (temporary) Redirect for one of my site or for one of the page and that too for a long time (permanently). Is there any kind of penalty or bad effect google impose on my site? Pls gimme the details of what kind of penalty I could face or what kind of bad effect I'll be charged.

    using redirect will not be any kind of punishment. i think you can relax:)

    for one of the page and that too for a long time (permanently).)

    So you can use 301 ... If you put 302 for a long time , web cache doesn't pick the redirected page copy .... 302 is good for a shorter period ..
    Otherwise your domain/page rank will go down...

    can I get the list of all penalties of google with details why a site is imposed with particular penalty and how to overcome?
