I think there is definitely some problem with Google PR. They will have a new PR update soon..

    Hmmm...

I not too sure about that, I can see some threads popping up again within a day or two.

Good news that Google have finally lifted the penalty, I think it will stay that way.

    Happy New Year.

    Thanks Brian

It is not only with directories. Google is kind enough with all types of websites in this update. They are making webmasters happy via PR as new year gift ;)

Yes, some in here, the elder ones (lol) will always try to help and warn the n00bs about the .info insanity and fly by night effects, editorial policies, etc.
But there is another pretty fast way to eliminate the shitty threads like "10 new directories launched" , etc... by using the rating system guys.

The thread rating feature (in the upper right corner of each thread) allows you to vote for the quality of the thread from 1 to 5. Threads with low votes will be buried quickly and not given all that attention.

Also, don't forget to report the squirrels that are only posting to increase the post number. Have a look here at this new rule. It is only a start, but probably it should be more than 14 days and 25 posts. Maybe multiply that number with 4 ? (why? a spammer won't do 100 posts just to post a damn link... and even so, if someone had bad intentions/inexperienced he won't have the patience to write quality posts and finally he gets reported).

So the whole community should help.

But if everyones PR goes up, the the bar for being classed as "having high PR" is raised. This means that where eg. PR4 was treated as being good, now you need PR5 or more. PR5 sites now need PR6, etc.

It is all in proportion I suppose, but the best of all is still good serps. :)

G giveth... and G taketh away... and G giveth back some.

Glad to see your DIRs back. You and a small group of others have worked hard and run clean. So you deserve to be back for sure.
