Penalized By Google? - Added Adult Friend Finder Adverts To My Blog

    Hi,

I've got a celebrity pictures blog at blogger.com and recently I was number one for a specific search term, but since I added Adult Friend Finder adverts my blog seems to have completely disappeared.

Is this likely to be because of the adverts?

    Thanks for any help

If you posted those ads several times on each page, there is a good chance that those ads did cause some type of penalty. Google doesn't like a website to have too many affiliate ads. This is usually a sign of a spam website with little content.

Do you still show up for the site:www.domain.com search?

Perhaps you should try removing those ads and see if the rankings come back.

You may also want to try to hide any affiliate links. You can setup a redirect on your own server for such purposes. Also block that redirect page via your robots.txt file.

Yeah I usually add the nofollow tag to my affiliate links but I couldn't add them to my adult friend finder links for some reason. Have removed the adverts and will see what happens anyway. My blog is still listed in Google just really low down.

    Thanks for the help
