I use a pen name on a blog of mine b/c it's unrelated to my other niches. I want to start selling ebook I wrote on it. But my paypal has my real name come up on transactions. How can I have paypal use my pen name? paypal would still have my bank account info if they get refunds or something...but I don't want people getting emailed my real name, that's all. It's not a business...don't want to spend money for llc or anything...it's just an ebook that will probably only sell around 50 copies anyway. How can i do this with paypal??
I'm not sure if you can still do this, but before I had an LLC, I changed my account type to "business," kept it just using my social, and setup it up as "Blah Blah Marketing." That'd let you stay consistent with your pen name. Good luck, -Lance
Well it is not advisable to have PayPal account on your pen name because if in worst cases your account gets limited and PayPal asks you documents, then you have to provide documents with your real name and that may cause an issue. Thanks
It is simply not possible to hide the name on which the Paypal account is registered. In order to bring transparency in the deals, it is their policy to display the holder's name... in the e-mails of all transactions and there is no work around... imo Regards, RightMan
so your admitting that you don't know? a regular account your real name will be will be shown. a business account your business name will show when the person checks out and in the email that they receive. there is nothing legal about the business name.you can have it whatever you want and you can change it whenever you want.
business account also ain't solution. hardly u set it they ask u to send "business documents" but what business documents can be when u r just an author? so paypal is a gr8 shit.
