Now a days Pen drive with 8GB,32GB,64GB comes with very affordable price. Here also Portable HDD drive with 320GB,500Gb are also available .Do you think that portable HDD are more secure than Pen drive. I inserted one working pen drive in the front panel usb port and its burnt out.Whereas in the same front usb port when i inserted portable HDD its not worked but its also not burnt out.You actually don't know when pen drive stops working.
You can't put a 1TB drive in your pocket. And you can't store your entire porn collection on a 64GB thumb drive. The decision is yours.
nice dude,,.. but for me if you have a huge collection like movie[let say that way] I would buy Portable drive,... other wise pen drive
I also prefer Pen drives only. They are good to use and also not much complicated. And its my habit now to carry them everywhere along with me. - Digital -
Pen drives are good for moving files from computer to computer, portablr hdds are more just for extra storage space, i have a few of both and they are great.
My view is Portable HDD. Well I had purchased the 32Gb pen drive there where very problem in it. Pendrive cant be repaired.
I prefer keeping 2 x 8GB pen drives with me all the time, and I empty them as soon as I get home to free the space. I didn't had to transfer more than 16GB of data in one go..
I would prefer Pendrives, but Portable hard disk are the way to store HUGE data i feel (at least as of now) Regards,
pen drives are less expience then portable drives whereas , portal drives are much better but expience!
pen drive can absorb shock better while portable drives are more fragile, once you drop it, oops there your HD goes
I prefer Pen drives than Portable HDD, the simple reason is portability and secured don't need much care, i can put my pendrive in my pocket and can play soccer, but can't do it with portable HDD, Okay why your pendrive burnt is due to the reason that when you are connecting your front panel usb port with your mother, if you reverse the polarity that is inversely connecting it mother board makes this adverse and why the Portable HDD doesn't burnt is, flash drives are made of ic to store data, whereas HDD are not like that, ics couldn't withstand the entire polarity change, wheres hdd have specific circuits to check up the incoming power or signal then only it reaches the data cylinder or disc.
I have experience of this. Dropped my portable hard drive on the ground and it was ker-fucked. Irreplaceable data lost (I wasn't going to spend a fortune on data recovery) and CountryBoy extremely pissed off for several days afterwards. USB flash drives are definitely the way to go.
