I've come across a lot of weird search terms when using Wordtracker etc which I'm sure most of you have.. even ones like 'force young boys to wear dresses' but if you punch in 'girls' or 'boys' in Wordtracker it throws up some really nasty keywords that would make most people queezy. It's hard to comprehend really when you're talking about millions of searches per day which is what all these terms and others combined will add up to. I'm wondering how far this rabbit hole goes...? Pete
lets hope it doesn't go too far. Honestly, if I found the best best keyword ever but it was sickening, I would never open a site just to get loads of traffic (even if the site was unreleated to it at all)
Law enforcement could set-up websites targeting these keywords and lure the pedophiles in with their credit card details. At the very least they could build-up a large picture and database. Of course, that would require Google and other search engines to be in cahoots with the idea.. which is unlikely, I guess. Pete
Interesting post, Pete. This crap is becoming more and more common. I often do image seaches on Google. I am amazed at the smut pics that turn up for the "most innocent" search terms. Jim
Eww I agree... what about kids who use image search for school projects? There needs to be some sort of default filter system...
