Peace Be With You

Newt Gingrich was at a book signing in Minneapolis, where a gay rights activist basically assaulted him with confetti and glitter. It wasn't just a light sprinkling in the air, he poured an entire cereal box over his head and the table -- he might have even gotten some in his eye. For me, this does nothing to advance gay rights, it would do more to put them in a negative light (at least their tactics). Gingrich took it with a grain of salt, and they escorted him out. That's the story. But, look when they escorted him out. If you fast forward the video to 42 or so sec, you see the person that escorted him out say "Peace Be With You" and then he gave him a big smile. Some people are commenting, I don't know, but doesn't that seem kind of creepy? Of course, the gay rights activist is more creepy for pouring a cereal box of glitter and confetti as an aggressive act because he disagrees with Gingrich's stance, but the escort out was a bit weird as well. :)

    Here's the video:

Even if you don't like Gingrich, does anyone think this behavior is productive?
