One of our clients has around 30.000 pdf files that they need to remove a footer text in the documents. The documents also have a index built in to them.

My original idea would be to convert PDF into TIFF and remove the last 100 pixels of each file via some lib. However, the text is not always placed at the same distance from the footer and the text sometimes always goes in to the footer, so i am now looking for a software such as wordpad replace, but i would like to batch replace in scanned documents one image with a new blank image.. Does anyone have any ideas of how this can be done ?

It is contractual documents, so we can not convert the images via OCR and do a word replace, everything except the bottom of the document need to stay exactly as it is...

    Any help appreciated
