I've got an absolute bottom of the range iPAQ RX1950/1955 - had it for a couple of years...

It's nowhere as good as my old school (non Wi-Fi) Palm TE, BUT it was cheap, AND it handles Wi-Fi without any problems. I can surf the interknit and get my email using my home network without any probs.

I've got my desktop PC's audio piped into several rooms, and the video out going to my TV - so I can use my PDA as a fancy remote to control it all over Wi-Fi. And to be honest, that's really all I use it for these days.

I got much more use out of my Palm TE (back in the day) than I have with the iPAQ. It was a nicer OS, and it was a nicer device. BUT, if you're looking for a cheap Wi-Fi PDA, then an iPAQ isn't a bad choice - but you do get what you pay for.

If you want a Windows PDA, then you're already digging yourself into a hole.
