Hi everybody. I run a computer shop and I have been trying all types of free anti-virus tools for my customers. has anyone had any experience with PC Tools Free antivirus? I tried it to remove viruses from a computer and it appeared to work quite well. The system was clean after the scan. I would of used AVG but the customer only has XP Service Pack 1 and did not want to upgrade so I could not use it. Any input on this anti-virus would be great!

I often have used AVG also on client computers. I come across clients that do not have service pack 2 in their XP installation and many do now want to upgeade. AVG will not work with service pack 1 so that is when I need an alternative. As a paid anti virus solution, I personally use CA and I have had great luck with it. It also does not bog down your computer like many of the paid versions do.

Did you try Avast? In my opinion it's better than AVG (I have them both installed on my box and Avast alerts me more often than AVG)

I have tried Avast, the only problem I have had is that some of my customers do not like the high tech interface. Other then that, I do feel it is an excellent product and has good reviews.
