PC Software and Game Affiliate Programs?

I'm trying to get an idea for which software and PC game affiliate programs are most popular. I'm actually in the midst of developing a related affiliate program and wanted to get a feel for what's working and what isn't.
I've done a lot of research...what I'd like to hear is some direct feedback from folks here on the boards that are promoting game related products (or have tried in the past).

Are there any Dp'rs running game and/or entertainment sites?

What do you find works best for games...offering direct downloadable files, or linking to game landing pages? What would you want to see in a downloadable games program?

I know that Shockwave recently launched an affiliate program. Has anyone tested it?

    Any comments would be appreciated!!!

    Thanks!

RegNow has a lot of second tier companies promoting their products through the platform (although there are some market leaders there too)...That's not to say that the products listed aren't any good, or that there's not too much of a demand there...But they are second tier nonetheless...

RegNow certainly didn't work out for Panda Software. For better or worse, we're now moving 100% over to CJ.

Was that simply because they weren't offering the type of software that sells well? Was there anything about their backend setup you liked/didn't like?
