My pc restarts while playing NFSMW.its installed in vista ultimate 32bit.the problem started 2days back.but b4 it was working all fine. my configuration: Motherboard :G41 CN Processor :c2d 2.93 ram: 2gb kingston Iball cabinet with SMPS The Drivers i got along with the motherboard didnt support xp.especially the graphic drivers.so i had to install vista.please some one help me out with this problem and if possible the correct GRAPHIC DRIVER FOR my motherboard
I had not created system restore in vista. ??? by the way pc is not restarting now.but during the game the pc freezes and then the monitor goes blank but the system is still running, but no display on monitor!! fully blank
It might be because of your power supply unit. Usually if the PSU wont have enough power to run your PC, the PC can freeze, restart, etc... Another thing that you can check for is overheating which can happen when playing graphics intensive games.
i hav cpuz and freepcaudit.should i post the report here? or please suggest tools so that i can display the info.prob is only with nfs.it runs other games properly also Photoshop and other software run properly
Well, photoshop wont stress your pc as much as games would. The thing is, if other games you play are graphic intensive as well and your pc is not restarting while playing those, then there is a problem with nfs and not your pc. The easiest way would be to open START, right click Computer (or right click it from the desktop if it's not in START), select Manage and check the Event Viewer for errors. It will probably show a red event where your pc restarts and from there, you can find out what's causing the problem.
received an infraction its says Reason: Thread Started In Wrong Category i'm a new user where should i post this post???
Does it do the same when playing other games? The PC still being on with no display indicates a video card issue or it could be software related (drivers/games/etc...). If the PC restarts itself, in other words as if you'd hit the power off button then back on right away, usually this indicates a RAM issue, faulty RAM can make PC's reboot themselves once certain information gets messed up in the RAM.
but it has effected my rep here.the prob can be of hardware too.how can someone add an infraction without knowing the exact prob???
Other games works fine only with nfs.can it be any hardware prob?now the restarting is not happening but the system freezes or hangs and monitor goes blank .but the Cpu or System is still on (i checked cpu fans, and even smps they were running)
To me it sounds more and more like an overheating problem, but the blank screen and your pc running may indicate to a PSU problem. It's really hard to tell...
ok hope to get more help.calling out the experts.how can i find who added infraction to my post.!! its not proper to decide as the prob is unknown
If it's just NFS, I'd say it's software related, but it all depends how NFS specifically uses your hardware, so it could still be a hardware problem. When the system freezes now are you able to exit out of the came, even if it's through CTRL+ALT+DEL and ending the program in the task manager, and continue using the computer, or do you have to restart it to use the computer again? Like you said when starting the thread, have you checked the drivers? It's not said whether you have a video card or not, is it built into the motherboard or a separate video card?
even Clt+alt +del doesnt work.i mean nothing is possible.i cant anything on the screen. and the mobo is new. video card is inbuilt.can you give a correct download link.i downloaded a driver for xp from intel download center
Am i alone here now the problem is screen turning black while playing on vista.i can use ctrl + Alt+ del coz everything is blank.so i'm forced to restart my pc. i have run pc audit and i displaying the detailed info about my pc
What is the average temperature of your video card chip and for how much does it fire up when you launch and try to play this game for about 5-10 minutes ?
