PC restart after shutdown

    hi,
    i have problem with my pc (ACER Aspire L320) that use window vista home basic.
    when i click shutdown menu, the pc will auto restart after 4 to 5 seconds turn off.
    plz.. help me..

    You should check your BIOS setup menu , may be there would be changes .

    In the bios, rry check if the ACPI setting is set to disable or enable? Try switch it to enable if disabled.

    Firstly install windows again after that may be ur problem will be solved If not then problem in your Motherboard.I think it is a hardware problem if you problem doesn't solve.

    check your modem or network card if its set to "auto wake". that can be viewed on your control panel. try to disable it.

    I think it can't be a virus because when our computer shuts down, then no softwares, other than those in the ROM, are running(virus is also like a software but its purpose is to harm) .So I think you will find the solution in bios settings or maybe there exists a hardware conflict which is resulting in such a problem.
