Was anyone else uneasy about submitting a W-9 form to PayU2Blog? Based upon everything I've seen here, they seem reputable. But, I'm not overly thrilled about sending my SSN, name and address to a company I've never seen face-to-face (as with my "real" employer for example). I know Google has my SSN for Adsense, but they are also a publicly traded company and I can hold them more accountable if this information should be "leaked". Any thoughts? Do all of the other similar companies require W-9s as well? (PayPerPost, SponseredReviews, etc.).
Every websites that you earned money, according to the USA law, you need to submit those form in order for you to qualify for the tax assessment. The answer is YES, you must submit it
This only applies to the USA bloggers doesn't it? I saw something about it, but skipped it since i'm from England and don't have a clue what an SSN is
This only applies to USA members. SSN means Social Security Number. I'm glad that Iw ont have to give any information like that because I'm not from the US
I used sponsoredreviews and ppp before but I wasn't required to submit my Social Security Number. Probably because I'm outside the USA.
Am not from US either but Im "supposed" to declare my earnings for tax purposes... ( Hello mr Taxman!) I think they are safe and its just for tax purposes only.
since you are in USA, you must submit it otherwise you wont get paid @RTL: not needed for canadians or any other non-us residents
