Was anyone else uneasy about submitting a W-9 form to PayU2Blog?

Based upon everything I've seen here, they seem reputable. But, I'm not overly thrilled about sending my SSN, name and address to a company I've never seen face-to-face (as with my "real" employer for example).

I know Google has my SSN for Adsense, but they are also a publicly traded company and I can hold them more accountable if this information should be "leaked".

    Any thoughts?

Do all of the other similar companies require W-9s as well? (PayPerPost, SponseredReviews, etc.).

This only applies to the USA bloggers doesn't it?

I saw something about it, but skipped it since i'm from England and don't have a clue what an SSN is :)

I used sponsoredreviews and ppp before but I wasn't required to submit my Social Security Number. Probably because I'm outside the USA.
